Cutting, reframing, ordering...

I just finished the photography course in Gran Canaria I mentioned a while ago. I was hired again by the Mapfre Foundation. It's always such a nice experience to work for these great professionals... But I probably enjoy even more to work with the people that register for their courses. They are always so motivated!

In this occasion, the course had to do with the selection, processing, sequencing and presentation of the photographic work. Most of these tasks can be done with the computer nowadays, but I have to say that I enjoy less and less to spend my time behind a screen, so I decided to go analog as often as possible. Cutting, reframing, ordering... It has been so cool to work in little groups the good old way.

And has also been great to see how the attendants have realised how much value they can add to their pictures if they present them correctly. If you don't respect your own work, who is going to

I was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (Spain) in 1974. In 1992 I started to study photography in my home town. After some years I moved to Berlin to go on with my studies and get a wider view about photography. After working for many years in the design and advertising industry and having photography as a scape, in 2009 I decided to put more effort on my own projects. At the moment, I'm focussed in a personal search that's helping me to understand what I want to express, artistically speaking. Or is it the other way around?
